Are you looking for a free boiler grant? If so you have come to the right place – we can help you secure a grant for a new boiler saving you money. Government grants for new boilers are available in the UK which can save you thousands of pounds. Replacing a boiler can be one of the most expensive household running costs but thanks to the government’s Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme it may be possible to receive a boiler grant, giving you a brand new boiler absolutely free.
You may be entitled to a 100% boiler grant which will give you a new boiler completely free of charge. Grants for new boilers not only save you £000’s in installation costs but a new boiler will be more energy efficient and will help reduce your heating bills.
Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation
Running alongside the Green Deal scheme, ECO has been designed to help those living in the poorest and most underprivileged communities by providing assistance with insulation and heating upgrades and replacements. The scheme is run through the large energy providers, with the government giving them a legal obligation to improve the energy efficiency of households in the UK, with set targets to achieve. As well as boiler repairs and grants for boiler replacements the scheme also includes Home Insulation Grants for loft or cavity wall insulation.
The possibility of obtaining a boiler grant comes through the section of the ECO titled Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO). This part of the scheme requires the big energy providers to establish improvements that will save £4.2 billion in the lifetimes of those affected. The biggest area being highlighted through HHCRO is the efficiency of household boilers, and the majority of those who are eligible for a grant under the scheme will see their current boiler systems either repaired or replaced.
